Deconstructing of Idolatrous Images of God C.S. Lewis called God "The Great Iconoclast." Iconoclasm is the destruction of sacred or idolatrous images. Lewis said iconoclasm is the very mark of God's presence: He constantly overturns our limited human perceptions of him.
